Fireflies Beat Greenville, 5-4
The Greenville Drive and Columbia Fireflies provided some drama for the home crowd.

Fireflies designated hitter Matt McKenna left his mark on his team's 5-4 win over the Greenville Drive. McKenna, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in bases on balls with 18, went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Columbia in the contest. Columbia reliever Sean Harr picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bill Dalton was saddled with the loss. Jon Williams was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.

McKenna had a timely hit for Columbia in the bottom of the eighth. With Columbia trailing 4-1, he turned a full count cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 5-4, Columbia.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," McKenna told the Columbia Daily.

The Fireflies go to 23-21, putting them third in the Southern Division.
