Tourists Deal Legends 5-3 Loss
The Asheville Tourists faced a tough opponent in Lexington pitcher Mark Gantt, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Whitaker Bank Ballpark by a final score of 5-3. Gantt went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Chris Stevens picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-0. Justin Richardson was tagged with the loss. With the win over Lexington, the Tourists improved to 18-27.

Evan Hood, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hood contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Asheville up, 4-3.

Hood told the Asheville Herald: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
