The Lakewood BlueClaws topped the Kannapolis Intimidators, 6-5, in South Atlantic League action at First Energy Park. The standout performance belonged to Lakewood pitcher and San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, native Luis Baquera. The winner was Lakewood reliever Chris Pasquini, now 4-3. The loser was Ryan Bridges. The BlueClaws sit in 4th place in the Northern Division with a record of 21-25.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Miguel Rosario, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in triples with 3, grounded out, driving in 1 run. The BlueClaws went on to win.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Rosario.
