Tourists Capture 5-1 Win at Spirit Communications Park
|
Jon LaBoube knocked in 3 runs to help Asheville beat Columbia, 5-1. LaBoube produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Asheville pitcher Takumu Gambill got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mike Dulude got the loss. With the win over Columbia, the Tourists improved to 27-20.
Asheville grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when LaBoube hit a 3-run home run off Mike Dulude. His 2nd home run of the season put the Tourists out in front, 3-0.
"It was our day today," LaBoube told the Asheville Chronicle. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
