The Greensboro Grasshoppers knocked off the Hagerstown Suns, 6-5, in South Atlantic League action at NewBridge Bank Park. Greensboro pitcher and Acworth, Georgia, native Eric Nieto had an outstanding performance. Despite the win, the Grasshoppers have a lousy 15-34 record.

Dan Savage was the walk-off hero for Greensboro. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grasshoppers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Nieto said.
