The Lakewood BlueClaws got a hard-earned win over the Hickory Crawdads, 7-5, in 10 innings. Nick Robbins provided some offensive muscle for Lakewood. He was 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The BlueClaws go to 31-19, putting them second in the Northern Division.

Lakewood used the timely hitting of Greg Yakel to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the BlueClaws on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Robbins.
