The Columbia Fireflies picked up a win at State Mutual Stadium, dropping the Rome Braves, 7-3. D.J. Adams, who is tied for 4th in the SAL in wins with 6, was the difference-maker. The win makes Columbia 24-26.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Matt McKenna? The Columbia right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Fireflies on top, 3-1. For the game, McKenna had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said McKenna. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
