The Charleston RiverDogs could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Sonny Davidson into a win. Instead, the West Virginia Power prevailed, 5-4. Davidson came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. Nate Scrivens wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. The setback makes Charleston 20-31.

Omar Tafolla dealt the RiverDogs a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and West Virginia leading 4-0, Tafolla, who is tied for 7th in the SAL in doubles with 12, hit a 0-2 slider for a run-scoring single.

"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Tafolla.
