Kannapolis Scrapes Out 5-3 Win
Kannapolis starter Gabriel Tauke pitched well against the Delmarva Shorebirds at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3, in 11 innings. With the win, Kannapolis has a record of 36-15. Delmarva falls to 30-21.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Al Gatlin? The 23-year old third baseman Gatlin stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put Kannapolis up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Tauke.
