Lakewood used a superb performance from starting pitcher Kyle Antonoff to down the Hagerstown Suns, 2-0. Antonoff, the winner, moves to 4-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. The BlueClaws bumped their record to 28-24 with this win.
In the bottom of the fifth, Lakewood shortstop Frits Loos had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Loos stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 1-0, Lakewood. For the game, he was 1-3.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Antonoff.
