The Asheville Tourists scooped up a win at McCormick Field, dumping the Greenville Drive, 9-1. Jan Stead was essential to his team's success. The Tourists now have a record of 32-22 with the win over Greenville.

Stead, who was born in Kimberley, Canada, threw 125 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 1 run.
