The bats were silent much of the day at Lake Olmstead Stadium. But former first round draft pick Mike Faria produced just enough offense to carry the Legends past the Augusta GreenJackets, 3-2. Faria went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 triples, while scoring 3. Nate Mendoza nailed down the save. Lexington now sits at 30-26, while Augusta falls to 23-33.

Faria had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Ivan Sandoval, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Legends a 3-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Faria.

Augusta manager Tony Guerrero said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
