BlueClaws Claim 3-2 Triumph
In a low-scoring contest between the Lakewood BlueClaws and the Kannapolis Intimidators, Kyle Gephart, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2110 draft, proved to be the difference. The Lakewood right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 BlueClaws win. Bradly Aaron closed out the game, earning his 1st save. The BlueClaws go to 21-35 with the win.

Taylor Winchester had a big 2-run double for the BlueClaws in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Lakewood trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from Ian Cross, who is tied for 2nd in the SAL in complete games with 2, and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the BlueClaws ahead, 2-1.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Winchester.
