Tauke Electric in 10-0 Win
|
Gabriel Tauke kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Kannapolis Intimidators were all smiles after winning, 10-0, against the Greensboro Grasshoppers at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The right-handed Tauke gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits, and tallied 13 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Tauke said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
For this year, Tauke has chalked up 5 wins and 1 loss in 12 starts with 81 strikeouts in 79.1 innings and a 2.27 ERA.
