Delmarva took on Lakewood in front of a lively crowd.
Delmarva turned a fine outing from starter Adrian Scudder into a victory over the Lakewood BlueClaws at First Energy Park. The final score was 4-0. Miguel Gonzalez, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in complete games with 1, nailed down the save.
Rocky Hall had a direct impact on the outcome. Hall contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Delmarva up, 2-0.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Hall told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
The 6th-place Shorebirds improved to 22-35.
