Power Claim Late Win
The West Virginia Power faced a tough opponent in Hickory pitcher Danny Lizarraga, but did just enough to pull out the victory at L.P. Frans Stadium by a final score of 5-2. Lizarraga went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The win puts the Power at 30-28, while the Crawdads drop to 33-25.

West Virginia used the clutch hitting of Bobby Evans to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Power ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Evans.
