The Hickory Crawdads beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 9-1, at L.P. Frans Stadium. Hickory catcher Jon Bourdon banged out 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. The Crawdads win now puts them at 31-28.

With Hickory leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Bourdon hit a run-scoring single off Greensboro hurler Adam Boettcher. It was the 42nd hit of the season for Bourdon and put his team ahead, 3-1.
