Getting offensive support from Sean Watson, the Charleston RiverDogs topped the Asheville Tourists, 6-3. Watson went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the RiverDogs. Adam Redel picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Leo Hard, who is rated as the 49th best prospect by BNN, was tagged with the loss. The win gives the RiverDogs a record of 18-41.
Jesus Cardenas had a big run-scoring triple for the RiverDogs in the top of the fourth inning. With Charleston leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Leo Hard, who is rated as the 49th best prospect by BNN, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the RiverDogs ahead, 2-0.
"Nice to get this one," said Cardenas. "Wins have been hard to come by."
