Power Beat Suns, 2-1
|
Ryan Thibeault pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Hagerstown Suns, despite Thibeault's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the West Virginia Power at Municipal Stadium. At 40-21, West Virginia is in second place in the Northern Division.
West Virginia took a 2-1 lead on Bobby Evans's 3rd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Evans hit in the top of the seventh, left Hagerstown pitcher Ryan Thibeault visibly frustrated.
"That's us at our best," Evans told the West Virginia Observer. "Pitching and trying to prevent runs."
