Augusta left-hander Ben Schaffer pitched his team to victory over the Lexington Legends at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Schaffer yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-3. Aubrey DeLuca closed it out for his 12th save.

The GreenJackets got a big at-bat from third baseman Kevin Sturm. For the game, Sturm was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Augusta a 2-0 lead.
