Anderson, Rome Top RiverDogs, 4-1
|
The Rome Braves got great pitching from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Anderson, allowing them to bump off the Charleston RiverDogs, 4-1. The 5th-place Braves have a record of 29-33.
Anderson was effective against the RiverDogs, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Charleston to just 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"Bill did what Bill does," said Rome manager Tim Helfrich.
