The Charleston RiverDogs had their hands full with Rome Braves starter Manny de Luna, who frustrated Charleston hitters while leading Rome to a comfortable, 6-0 win. Rome reliever Manny de Luna, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in wins with 6, was credited with the win. His record goes to 6-3. Izzy Morales took the loss for Charleston. Rome is now 30-33, Charleston 25-38.

Rome designated hitter Angelo Echeandia helped the Braves go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Echeandia hit a run-scoring single off Charleston pitcher Izzy Morales.

Echeandia said his team "executed a good game plan."
