Extra-Inning Win by Shorebirds Over BlueClaws
Thanks in large part to catcher Brooke Rutherford, the Delmarva Shorebirds clipped the Lakewood BlueClaws, 7-5, in 10 innings. Rutherford was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Delmarva raised its record to 36-28 with the win.

Rutherford had a game-changing triple in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Chris Pasquini, he banged a run-scoring triple to right, giving the Shorebirds a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Rutherford.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Shorebirds manager Tom Phillips.
