Crawdads Get One-Run Win at Lakewood
|
The Hickory Crawdads eked out a 3-2 win versus the Lakewood BlueClaws at First Energy Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Gabe Robles. He was terrific. Randy Roberts notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. Today's win puts Hickory at 33-31, while Lakewood falls to 38-25.
Hickory used the clutch hitting of Jaden White to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Crawdads the lead, 3-2. For the game, White had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I had one goal in mind," said Robles. "Keep pounding the zone."
