Power Come Up Short at Lakewood, 1-0
|
Starting pitcher Tom Fetherolf was a major factor in the 1-0 Lakewood BlueClaws triumph over the West Virginia Power. David Adams closed it out for his 4th save. Lakewood, at 28-37, occupies 5th place in the Northern Division.
Lakewood took a 1-0 lead on Sulayman Jamal al Din's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Jamal al Din hit in the bottom of the seventh, left West Virginia pitcher Stephen Hibbs visibly frustrated.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Fetherolf. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
