Torrance drives in 3 runs in Tourists Win
Kanyon Torrance left his imprint on the 8-5 Asheville win against the Columbia Fireflies. Torrance was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Shamar James earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 6-4. Victor Portillo nailed down his 3rd save.

Asheville got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Brian Huffman. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tourists ahead, 8-5. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Columbia manager Tony Acosta.

The losses continue to mount for Columbia, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
