Intimidators Turn Away Shorebirds, 4-3
Kannapolis beat Delmarva at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Nate Dittmar. He was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Zack Getson. The Intimidators lead the Northern Division by 3 games.

Dittmar had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 3-1 fastball from Bobby Olmsted, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Intimidators a 4-2 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Dittmar.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Kannapolis manager Brian Turek.
