Power Beat Tourists, 4-1
|
T.J. Lawson pitched well, but the Asheville Tourists still lost the game, falling, 4-1, to the West Virginia Power at McCormick Field. The win makes West Virginia 44-23.
West Virginia won the game in part because of Jeff Youngs. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Power ahead, 2-0. For the game, Youngs had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
West Virginia manager Jose Minera called it "a darn good win."
