Hector Salazar had a good game, but he could not keep the Lexington Legends from falling, 6-4, to the Hickory Crawdads at L.P. Frans Stadium. The Lexington left fielder went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks in the loss. Christopher S Humphreys closed the door for Hickory, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The Crawdads improved to 38-30.

The Crawdads got a big at-bat from right fielder Tim Calabrese. For the game, Calabrese was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Hickory a 3-0 lead.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Calabrese told the Hickory Gazette.
