West Virginia 5-4 Victors at Municipal Stadium
|
The West Virginia Power defeated the Hagerstown Suns, 5-4, in South Atlantic League action at Municipal Stadium. West Virginia pitcher Jordan Badillo had a standout performance. In 5.1 innings, Badillo surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Nate Scrivens collected his 7th save.
West Virginia used a clutch at-bat from Baltesar Rebouas to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Power ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Badillo.
The Northern Division-leading Power have a record of 49-21.
