Legends Cut Down Fireflies, 3-1
|
Lexington starter Jeff Termaat put the Columbia offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his fastball in leading the Legends to a 3-1 win. With the win, Lexington has a record of 33-37. Columbia falls to 24-46.
In the bottom of the first inning, left fielder Ron Meyer had a run-scoring double for Lexington. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Legends on top, 1-0.
Meyer called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
