The Asheville Tourists defeated the Lexington Legends by the score of 8-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Andy Gash. Gash went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Tourists on the day. Michio Ono closed it out for Asheville, earning his 3rd save. The win gives Asheville a season record of 45-27.

Early in the game, shortstop Jon LaBoube had a 2-run triple for Asheville. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Tourists on top, 2-0.
