BlueClaws Stumble Again, Lose, 8-6
The Hickory Crawdads grabbed a win, 8-6, over the Lakewood BlueClaws at L.P. Frans Stadium. Hickory center fielder Shane Trahan belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Alex Duenas earned the win, while 22-year old right-handed pitcher James Costello took the loss for Lakewood. Chris Carson sewed up the save, his 15th.

With Hickory leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Trahan hit a fastball from James Costello for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Crawdads ahead, 4-0.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Lakewood manager Steve Reinke.

Hickory has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
