The Kannapolis Intimidators defeated the Delmarva Shorebirds, 7-2, in South Atlantic League action at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. Kannapolis pitcher Joe Drake had a standout performance. Kannapolis is now 49-24, Delmarva 47-26.

Drake picked up the win. He's now 7-1, after putting the Delmarva offense in the deep freeze. Over 7 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 1 hit.

"We had a good game plan," Drake said, "and we were able to execute it."
