Delmarva left fielder Tony Gonzalez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 3-2, to West Virginia at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Gonzalez was 2-4 with a home run and a double. West Virginia reliever Jose Gonzalez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Gabriel Singletary took the loss. The Power are now 42-31.

Joel Blanchard, who is tied for 8th in the SAL in RBI with 31, had a direct impact on the outcome. Blanchard contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put West Virginia up, 2-1.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Blanchard told the West Virginia Citizen.
