The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Hagerstown fans at Municipal Stadium.

Behind the hitting of Sean McFadden, the Hagerstown Suns stopped the West Virginia Power, 5-2. McFadden was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times for the Suns. Picking up the save was Jesus Chavez, his 5th.

The Suns got a big at-bat from third baseman Frank Creamer. For the game, Creamer was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave Hagerstown a 2-1 lead.

"We're in a funk right now," said West Virginia skipper Danny Palma.
