Multi-HR Day for Nestor as Intimidators Overpower BlueClaws, 7-4
Due in large part to second baseman Eric Nestor, the Kannapolis Intimidators sunk the Lakewood BlueClaws, 7-4. Nestor went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Alex Lopez picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 8-3. Ryan Bridges, who is tied for 3rd in the SAL in saves with 12, earned the save for Kannapolis.

With Kannapolis leading 2-0 in the top of the first, Nestor hit a cutter from Tony Capurro for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Intimidators ahead, 5-0.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Kannapolis manager Brian Turek.

Lakewood is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 9 games.
