Intimidators Win with Late Rally
The Kannapolis Intimidators and Lakewood BlueClaws completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Kannapolis Intimidators earned a close win over the Lakewood BlueClaws, thanks in part to Joe Drake. The Kannapolis left-hander, who is tied for 7th in the SAL with a 2.22 ERA, played a key role in the 11-inning, 2-1 victory. Kannapolis is sailing along at 53-25.

Though he didn't earn the victory, Drake kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Kannapolis offense came through. Over 7 innings, he allowed 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 10.

"Joe was really good, wasn't he?" said Kannapolis manager Brian Turek.
