Charleston Funk Reaches 10 Games
|
The Charleston RiverDogs extended their losing streak with a loss to the Greenville Drive.
Starting pitcher Danny Kendall was a major factor in the 3-0 Greenville Drive triumph over the Charleston RiverDogs. Kendall, now 7-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Randy Cron collected save number 5.
Greenville used the clutch hitting of Tom Dudley to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Drive the lead, 3-0. For the game, Dudley had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.
"Winning a ballgame these days," losing manager Miguel Garcia told reporters, "is harder than big game hunting without a gun."
The misery continues for the RiverDogs, which has now dropped 10 in a row.
