Rome Braves starter Bill Anderson led his team to victory over the Charleston RiverDogs, 4-2. The right-hander was locked-in. Anderson yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 5-5. Harry Bakken earned the save for Rome, his 8th of the year.
In the bottom of the second inning, first baseman Rich Weston had a 2-run double for Rome. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Braves on top, 3-2.
