The West Virginia Power extended their winning streak.

West Virginia Power starter Danny Forney turned in a top-notch performance against the Augusta GreenJackets at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The result was a win for the Power, 5-0. Picking up the save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Edwin Colomer.

Fred Trent had a big run-scoring double for the Power in the top of the sixth inning. With West Virginia leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Hector Rivera and swatted a double to center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Power ahead, 2-0.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Augusta manager Tony Guerrero.

Augusta has now lost 5 in a row.
