Legends Use Late Score to Top Braves, 3-2

Kyle McDonald was superb against Rome. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the SAL in strikeouts with 121, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Legends victory. The score was 3-2. Lexington reliever Joel Wiegand picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. John Mandeville was saddled with the loss. Lexington is 5th in the Southern Division with a record of 38-46.
The decisive blow was delivered by Kyle Yerger in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher John Mandeville to win the game for Lexington. The home crowd went nuts.
"Kyle was in attack mode the whole game," said Lexington manager Sean Young.
