Henri Mariotto, who leads the SAL with a 0.94 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Greenville Drive to a 5-3 win against the Charleston RiverDogs at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. Ken Offutt picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Richard Silverstone was tagged with the loss. The last-place RiverDogs have lost 5 straight games.

Greenville needed the clutch hitting of Jon Gould to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Drive on top, 5-3. For the game, Gould had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Gould said.
