Drive Win, Storlie hits 2 home runs
|
The Greenville Drive downed the Asheville Tourists, 7-1, at Fluor Field at the West End. The Drive were led by Josh Storlie. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Ricky Herrera, the winner, improved to 11-3. He held Asheville to 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. Asheville has now lost 5 in a row.
The Drive got a lift from third baseman Frank Kravitz, who in the bottom of the fifth stroked a first pitch sinker into left for a run-scoring single. It was his 64th hit of the season and put the Drive ahead, 3-1.
