Lefty Peluso Leads Lakewood to 2-0 Win
Spirit Communications Park featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Brad Peluso was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Spirit Communications Park. In fact, the Lakewood BlueClaws left-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-0 victory over the Columbia Fireflies. The save went to Jeremy Conti, number 15 for him.

Peluso earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Lakewood. The left-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Columbia hitters had little success against him.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Peluso.

Lakewood's record now stands at 39-49, placing them 6th in the Northern Division.
