Legends Topple Drive, 6-0, as Alaniz Shines
The Lexington Legends dealt the Greenville Drive a 6-0 loss at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Antonio Alaniz was the star on offense. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Kyle McDonald earned the win to go to 6-6. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Zack Fredrickson hit a 3-run home run off Mike Sherwood in the bottom of the first, which put the Legends ahead, 3-0. In addition to the homer, Fredrickson had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
