Power Use Late Rally to Win
The West Virginia Power cut down the Lakewood BlueClaws by the score of 4-1, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Joel Blanchard. Blanchard was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Power. The win went to Dan Vega in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Kevin Elder took the loss. With the victory, the Power upped their record to 52-38.

Had Blanchard not come through in the top of the ninth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Blanchard hit a bases-clearing double. The Power took the lead, 4-1, and never looked back.

"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said West Virginia manager Luis Zamora.
