The West Virginia Power needed 10 innings to beat the Asheville Tourists, 4-3, at Appalachian Power Park. The win was due in part to center fielder Steve Greving, who went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the victory, the Power record stands at 49-41.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With West Virginia trailing 3-2, Greving jumped on a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Victor Portillo and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Power had a walk-off win.

"Put a star next to this win," Greving said.
