Power Pick Up 4-1 Win Against Hagerstown
|
West Virginia Power starter Edwin Colomer pitched a strong game against the Hagerstown Suns at Municipal Stadium, leading the Power to victory, 4-1. Colomer yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-2. Todd Freeman sewed up the save, his 24th.
Jeff Youngs, who leads the SAL in hits with 112, had a direct impact on the outcome. Youngs contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put West Virginia up, 2-0.
"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Hagerstown manager Chris Schneider. "It's just not paying off."
The win puts West Virginia at 58-33 this season.
