Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Lakewood BlueClaws.

Greensboro registered a win at First Energy Park by beating the Lakewood BlueClaws, 6-4. Pitcher Pedro Ramos was one reason why the Grasshoppers triumphed. The BlueClaws, at 8-84, have lost 14 straight games.

Greensboro relied on the hitting of Lance Plouffe to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Grasshoppers on top, 6-2. For the game, Plouffe had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We need to get back to basics," said Lakewood manager Jesse Atchley.
