Delmarva Loses, 5-2, in 10

Appalachian Power Park played host to some exciting baseball.
West Virginia turned a good performance from starting pitcher Rich McMillan into a 5-2 triumph over the Delmarva Shorebirds at Appalachian Power Park. Nate Scrivens claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record stands at 4-4.
West Virginia got a clutch hit from Greg Eckert. The second baseman launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Eckert.
With the win, the Power hiked their record to 59-33.
