Power Absorb 3-2 Home Loss
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Kannapolis Intimidators and the West Virginia Power, pitcher R.J. MacLean was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kannapolis right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Intimidators win. Kannapolis has run its win streak to 7 straight.
Kannapolis used a timely hit from Andy Pierce to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Intimidators ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Kannapolis manager Brian Turek.
